About the Academy

GB Creative Academy is a vibrant performing arts academy in Rotherham, dedicated to inspiring creativity and developing the next generation of performers. Building on the legacy of the Gillian Banks Theatre School, we bring over 40 years of experience in providing exceptional training and performance opportunities.

A key part of our academy is our higher education provision, offering BTEC Performing Arts qualifications at Level 2 and Level 3. These nationally recognised courses prepare students for university, drama school, or direct entry into the creative industries. Our BTEC programmes combine practical training in Musical Theatre, Acting, Dance, and Singing with professional development, giving students the skills, discipline, and confidence needed to thrive in a competitive industry.

Alongside our full-time courses, we also offer private lessons, small group training, school partnerships, and performance opportunities both locally and internationally. From community choirs to large-scale productions, our students gain real-world experience that enhances their studies and builds strong foundations for future success.
