Each member of our staff brings a wealth of professional stage and teaching experience, having worked in theatres, on cruise ships, in hotels, and at events across the UK and abroad.

Academy Manager
Martyn Howells
Martyn brings a wealth of experience in education and leadership to GB Creative Academy. He has spent many years managing colleges and music services, overseeing the teaching and development of students across a wide range of programmes. With extensive expertise in delivering and managing BTEC qualifications, Martyn has successfully led vocational education pathways that prepare young people for higher education and careers in the creative industries.
Now a Headteacher, Martyn combines his strong background in educational management with a passion for the performing arts, ensuring GB Creative Academy continues to deliver high-quality training and excellent outcomes for every student.

Education & Outreach Manager Vocal & MT Tutor
Carrie Scott
Carrie is a passionate and creative music educator and vocal specialist based in Rotherham.
With extensive experience teaching singing and music across all age groups, she nurtures artistic growth and confidence in her students. She leads musical theatre training and production work, teaches advanced performing arts students in both theory and practice, and directs youth choirs—overseeing everything from recruitment and repertoire to rehearsal planning and performances.
Her work is characterized by an unwavering commitment to musical excellence, expressive performance, and fostering a deep love of song and creative voice in everyone she teaches.

Tutor & Administrator
Steve Gasgoine
Steve has been a dedicated musician from a young age, starting his professional career in bands at just 15. After leaving school, he chose to formalise his passion by studying music at Sheffield University, where he gained a BA (Hons) and achieved ABRSM Grade 8 in Vocals.
Following his degree, Steve completed a PGCE and began teaching at Rotherham College, later becoming Head of Music. Alongside his teaching career, he enhanced his leadership skills by gaining a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management, and now delivers the business modules of the BTEC Performing Arts courses at GB Creative Academy.
Steve's blend of professional performance experience and academic expertise makes him an invaluable part of the academy’s teaching team.

Dance Tutor & Choreographer
Ellie Jackson
Ellie trained at Gillian Banks Theatre School before continuing her professional training at SLP Musical Theatre College, specialising in dance and vocals.
Since graduating, she has performed internationally, including contracts in Marrakesh and on Necker Island, and has even worked alongside world-renowned DJs such as David Guetta and Chase and Status.
Alongside her performance career, Ellie has a passion for teaching and is now part of the GB Creative Academy team, where she inspires the next generation through dance and singing.

Dance Tutor
Paige Wigfield
Paige has a lifelong passion for dance and over a decade of experience performing and teaching both in the UK and internationally. She holds a BA (Hons) in Dance and Choreography and has trained extensively across a range of dance styles.
Paige teaches in schools, colleges, and community settings, with particular expertise in preparing students for IDTA examinations. Her teaching focuses on developing confident, expressive dancers through a balance of strong technique, creativity, and performance.
She is dedicated to inspiring the next generation and making dance both accessible and empowering for all.

Vocal Tutor & Choir Leader
Liv Muir
Liv is a choir director, conductor and arranger based in Sheffield. They graduated with a BA (Hons) in Music from the University of York in 2019 and completed their MA in Music Management with a Distinction from the University of Sheffield in 2024. They work in multiple choirs and music projects in Yorkshire, including indie pop choir Neighbourhood Voices, double denim sensation The Groove chorus and Halifax Young Singers. They have previously sung with Barnsley Youth Choir. Liv is in demand as a freelance arranger and choir director and is currently a Young Conductor on the National Youth Choir's Emerging Professional Artist scheme. Liv is passionate about expanding opportunities for people all life experiences to come together to sing.

Dance Tutor & Aerial Specialist
Lucy Tongue
Lucy is a dedicated and accomplished dance and aerial arts instructor with over 18 years of dance training and 16 years of experience in aerial silks, hoop, and trapeze. Her extensive background as both a performer and educator allows her to bring a high level of artistry, technical skill, and professionalism to her teaching.
Lucy has performed at a variety of venues across the UK and internationally, gaining valuable experience that she now shares with her students. She holds multiple teacher training qualifications and a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts.
